The Stone Foxes, the Bay Area four-piece consisting of brothers Shannon and Spence Koehler, Aaron Mort, and Avi Vincour, recently released Bulls & Bears, a smokey, boozy rock record dripping with authenticity and just begging to be blasted out of your Camaro (if you had one...). The product of an old fashioned approach to songwriting - band members swap instruments, trade vocal duties and write songs as a collective - and recorded with almost no overdubs, Bulls & Bears is sure to win the band many new fans. Known for its scorching live shows, the band will hit the road this month for a tour of the American west. Catch them if you can.

Keith Austin Murray and Christopher Ian Cain, the two primary members of We Are Scientists, met at college in California back in 2000. Having struck indie rock gold with their 2005 album With Love and Squalor, and the 2008 follow-up Brain Thrust Mastery, the band is back with its latest album, Barbara. Poppy, bright, and fun, it offers more of the wit and expert song craft that put the band on the map. While positively huge in Europe, We Are Scientists’ conquest of their native land remains a work in progress. Catch them on the American Barbarian tour all summer.

Popular from just about the first note they played, Nashville's Framing Hanley is back with their sophomore album, A Promise to Burn. Lead singer and songwriter Kenneth Nixon, guitarist Brandon Wootten, bassist Luke McDuffee and drummer Chris Vest formed the band back in 2005 and were quickly discovered on MySpace. Good Old War
The self-titled sophomore album by Pennsylvania indie-rock trio Good Old War shows immense growth within the band, which has quickly made a name for itself with both the quantity and quality of its tunes. A natural evolution from its debut, Only Way To Be Alone, Good Old War spills over with warmth and vulnerability, partially the result of the band holing up in a cabin in the Poconos to record the album.
